The Interview

Introduction To AIVAgames

Hi from AIVAgames! Playing our games, you will definitely spend your time with pleasure!

Founded in Moldova by three brothers in March 2015, AIVAgames is a mobile game studio, which makes games for iOS and Android. At the beginning creating games was a hobby; now we are working more professionally. We are focused on creating casual arcade games. Our mission is to create simple and exciting games dedicated to all people.

How It All Began

In April 2017 a very interesting idea for a game came to mind, so I took a pencil and drew some sketches on a sheet of paper. I was impressed with how good my idea was looking, so I showed my idea to my older brother who was very impressed! Together, we ended up drawing sketches late into the night.

The next day, I downloaded a bunch of games similar to my idea and started testing. Several days later I found the game mechanic I was looking for.

Then I began focusing on popular games with simple yet attractive graphics (especially casual arcade games). Once again, I downloaded a bunch of different games and spent almost 3 days looking for the perfect color palette for our game.

Finally, we had everything we needed. Using Buildbox, since we had no programming knowledge, we started developing Fatal Flap and after about 3 weeks of work, we created Fatal Flap.

Publishing Our Game

Because we didn’t have the resources to publish and promote our game, we started looking for publishing companies. After sending around 100 emails to different publishers, we received a positive response from redBit Games. For almost the next 10 months we worked with redBit Games at perfecting Fatal Flap.

In the end, we probably spent most of our time on the overall quality of the game. We added levels and challenges and spent a lot of time polishing. redBit Games really helped us create a high-quality game. They have a great team of professionals with good ideas and concepts.

Our Secret To Creating Games?

We have no secret to creating games. The most important thing needed to create a great game is hard work. In order to create a great game, it (1) must be very polished and (2) be based around a great idea.

Anything New?

In the future, we will definitely come up with new games. We like to create games players will enjoy. At the moment we are working on a project you may hear more about in the next few months…
