The Tower – A good game with tough competition…

Did you love playing Stack by Ketchapp? We did! …so when we discovered a “second” stacker game from Ketchapp, we simply had to give it a try…!

To spoil our entire review for you, The Tower by Ketchapp is good, but nowhere near as good as Stack by Ketchapp…

On its own, The Tower is a very well made game. With nice fluid graphics, a decent gameplay system, (which is exactly the same as Stack), and a few different themes to spice things up every once in a while, this game is definitely well made, …but better than Stack…? Ahh, no…

Just to clarify, The Tower is estimated to have had around 1,000,000 – 5,000,000 downloads on Android alone(!) and is an extremely successful game, …it’s just not quite as successful as Stack with an estimated 10,000,000 – 50,000,000 downloads!

So here we have two almost identical games released by the same company with a completely different number of downloads. “Why?” We may be wrong, but our best guess is the graphics.

The Tower features a very nice set of 2D graphics which – against any other 2D game – would no doubt be of the highest quality. Stack, on the other hand, features simple yet much more realistic 3D graphics. Although 3D graphics often aren’t ideal when creating mobile games, looking at the two screenshots below will probably make it extremely clear why Stack is so much more popular…

Although when up against Stack, The Tower may look a little shabby, if you rather playing 2D games or would just like to have something cool on your device a lot of people don’t know about, this may be just the game for you.
