Do you love minimalist games? If you happen to be a long time follower of Edamame Reviews, chances are you already know how big of a fan we are of clean minimalist graphics. Today we’ve got another awesome game…!
Unfold! is a simple, beautiful, and surprisingly challenging game you’ll have a hard time putting down. Set on an infinitely unfolding stage, your mission in this game is to stay on the stage for as long as possible without falling off by switching the direction in which your ball travels.
Played in a similar fashion to ZigZag by Ketchapp, you won’t need to control the direction in which your ball travels, but you will need to time exactly when to switch.
At first, the super simple gameplay system and distraction free graphics make playing this game a walk in the park, but as the game moves on, things start to get more challenging. Slowly but surely your ball will grow closer to the end of your constantly unfolding stage, giving you less and less warning as exactly when you will need to switch directions.
On top of this, the game constantly increases in speed until eventually, it becomes so hard you can’t physically keep up and GAME OVER👾 Luckily enough, the speed at which the game increases in difficulty isn’t that fast meaning most players should get around 30 – 60 seconds of fun out of each run.
Lastly, just in case we haven’t emphasized this enough already, the distraction free graphics in Unfold! look amazing! With simple minimalist effects, beautiful pastel colors, and an awesome unraveling stage, this is a game every minimalist gamer must have!
