Spider Square

Hyped up after rewatching spiderman for the first time in years, do you wish you also could go out and swing through cities on ropes made of webs? Well here’s a game where you can do just that, well almost…

Spider Square by BoomBit, which has become known for its spiderman like games in the past few months, has released yet another awesome web swinger, this time based in a cave like setting. Your mission is to weave your way around obstacles blocking your path by firing webs at the roof in order to swing around them.

By touching on the screen you can fire a web which will instantly pull your player forward but at a slanted angle toward the ceiling. When the timing is perfect, by letting go you can swing yourself through the cave and skillfully dive over or under whatever objects block your path.

While testing (playing) we discovered two things that really decide your life or death in this simple game. The first is to always stay low, the speed at which you accelerate toward the ceiling of the stage cannot be underestimated, meaning if you get too close, you’ll end up smashing into the roof before you have time to react.

The second, is not to swing too fast. By releasing at an angle, it is fairly easy to build up speed in this game, unfortunately, speed in Spider Square is nowhere near as good as it is in racing games. Stay slow and calm.
