If you’re a fan of 2D space shooters, and think you’ve played most of the best titles, well, we’ve got something new for you.
Shooty Skies is probably one of the cutest shooters we’ve ever seen. Instead of shooting at enemy ships, or blasting aliens. In this game you shoot crazy flying smartphones and robots holding coins. A personal favorite was a big screen tv broadcasting Youtube cat videos! It is all very cute, and is probably the least offensive shooting game we’ve ever played. (Even space invaders is offensive, to aliens…)
The game system is also pretty new and gives you the option of unlocking new weapons for a limited amount of time by watching an ad. For new players who don’t have the coins to buy bigger guns, this is a great system, and really helps you progress on the game much faster. Shooty Skies is definitely one of the most generous games to new players we’ve reviewed.
If we had to find one drawback in this quite amazing game, it would have to be that when you first try to control the player you’ll find that he tends to sit right under your finger, making it fairly difficult to tell whether or not you dodged an enemy bullet or not. Although if you didn’t, you’ll find out soon enough…
If blasting stereos, blowing up bats, and dodging flying pugs is up your alley, this is a one of a kind game you’ll have a hard time besting.
Now, for all of you who noticed that this games graphics look an awful lot like that of Crossy Road, you guessed it, the developer of Crossy Road was also in the team that made this game!
