Powder – Alpine Simulator – The best minimalist skiing game ever!

Have you ever heard of “Powder Snow”? Said to be the best snow for Skiing due to its smooth and dry tendencies, a Ski Holiday with “Powder Snow” is the best holiday you can get…⛄️

Powder – Alpine Simulator is by far the best minimalist top down ski game we have ever featured on Edamame Reviews. (Funny it’s the “only” minimalist top down ski game we’ve featured…) Set on the side of a snowy evergreen tree covered mountain, your mission in this game is to glide down this pure sheet of whiteness without colliding with any of the many obstacles that dot the snowy hillside.

The game is played using a mixture of Tap, Double Tap, and Tap And Hold controls which are confusing at first but aren’t overly hard to get used to. If you enjoy playing minimalist games that focus only on the core gameplay experience chances are you’ll enjoy this game.

Now, unlike the majority of games released for mobile, Powder – Alpine Simulator actually gives you a surprising level of freedom over how you choose to ski. If you choose to zig-zag your way down the mountain you will obviously move much slower than if you choose to shoot down in a straight line, how you choose to play the game is entirely up to you.

Lastly, if you take way too much time to make your decent down the snowy hillside, (i.e. if you stop and don’t move), you will most likely get caught up in a slow moving avalanche that pretty much dictates your player’s fate… GAME OVER😉

Do Ski games have this special place in your heart? If so, Powder – Alpine Simulator is a game you won’t want to miss!

With clean minimalist graphics, a gameplay system built around freedom, and nothing else to distract you from the snowy hillside, this is a game every winter loving skier needs to have!
