Nukleus – A “minimalist game” about Colors, Balls, and not much else…

Do you think minimalist games are the best? If so we’ve just found a game so simple, so empty of all clutter and unnecessary nonsense, so clean and tidy, it will leave you speechless… (Seriously, there’s hardly anything to comment on 😋 )

Nukleus is – as we stated above – a very simple game, based entirely around colors. Starting off with a large single colored ball at the center of your screen, the game is played by swiftly tapping on the screen to change the color of your central ball.

From around the edges of the game a number of smaller colored balls will slowly fly toward your central ball which must be the same color as them in order to “Pop” the smaller balls. A relatively simple game concept.

Your ball will only ever (as far as we’ve played) be 1 of 2 colors, and will switch colors (i.e. “Red & Blue” > “Orange & Purple”) every 10 points, making the game challenging, but nothing over the top.

Now, for players who always seem to leave it to the last second to switch colors, positions, shapes, etc. Nukleus is awesome, with almost instantaneous color switching, you can pretty much leave your action to the very last second without losing the game. (An amazing feature for uncoordinated, we mean, players with a slower reaction time😓 )

Have you been waiting for our latest minimalist game review? If so, here it is, in all its streamlined glory…
