Hollo Ball – Surely there are better ways to use a black hole…

Hollo Ball (by Bigger Games) is a good game that isn’t exactly bigger or better than the many other games already on the App Store and Google Play based around essentially the same concept. Set on a 3D path, your mission in this game is to protect an overly fragile ball from smashing as it rolls down the center of a path covered with every kind of obstacle imaginable.

Your job (as the sort of black-hole bodyguard of this extra fragile ball) is to suck up everything and anything your ball could so much as brush against in order to prevent it from shattering into tiny pieces – sadly, why you can’t let the ball just shatter is a question you probably aren’t supposed to ask. 😅

Anyway, for anyone who somehow hasn’t played one of the many different iterations of this concept, Hollo Ball is played by touching and dragging on the screen of your device in order to move your black hole around the screen and suck up everything that isn’t your ball.

As you progress through the game, you will be faced with more and more obstacles that require you to use some level of skill in order to clear the game in one piece.

With no unlockable anything for you to collect, no in-app purchases (besides disabling ads), not even any real powerups for you to collect, other than a quick boost in black-hole size (after sucking up a given number of objects within a given amount of time) this game is similar to Helix Jump in how it presents players with a distraction-free gameplay experience you’ll either love or find extra boring.

If it’s distraction-free gameplay that you want, this game has it.
