Big Big Baller – This is what Katamari on mobile should have looked like…

Looking at things bluntly, Big Big Baller (by Lion Studios) is a rip-off of Amazing Katamari. There isn’t a lot more that can be said about this game in that regard… 😅

All this having been said, Big Big Baller (by Lion Studios) isn’t a bad game. In fact, it is pretty much everything we ever wanted from in the “real” Katamari for mobile.

Similar to how we anticipated something drastically different when Sonic Rush was first released, we honestly expected more from Katamari. We wanted to demolish buildings, swallow up houses, destroy cars, and wreak havoc on the world we once loved… but instead, we got a runner game…

Although AMAZING KATAMARI DAMACY had some elements of the game we once loved, it wasn’t the game we were hoping for. Big Big Baller is for those fans who wanted something more than a runner game…

Set in a low-poly 3D world – similar to that of hole.io (by Voodoo) – your mission in this game is to roll over anything and everything smaller than your massive ball of destruction within a 2 minute time period. Played on a stage filled with other players, the key to winning in this game is to first grow as big as possible on your own, before focusing your attention on crushing your opponents in order to grow even bigger!

In our experience, in order to come first place fairly consistently, you will need to use the first 20-30 seconds of gameplay to a maximum. If you’re still 3-4th by the end of the first 30 seconds of gameplay, it is going to be nearly impossible for you to come first place. 👑

Use your time wisely when playing this game. 🤔

The Conclusion

With a simplistic 3D design we’re seeing more and more often in recent times, Big Big Baller is a game we expect a lot of gamers will really enjoy – especially if you’re already a Katamari fan.

Sorry AMAZING KATAMARI DAMACY, you weren’t quite the game we were waiting for. Also, it seems as though a popular clone of the game is now playable on lupygames? Lupy Games? we’re not entirely sure, however, we don’t exactly recommend trying it as the game is super slow and laggy. 😅
