Math and Sorcery – Numbers are pretty-much the magic of our world…🧙‍♂️

If you’ve ever taken a course on coding – and realized just how much of the new world we live in can be altered just by changing a few numbers on a computer screen – you probably already know just how powerful numbers really are…

Math and Sorcery (by Crescent Moon Games and Gang of One) is a game about simple mathematics. Set in a beautifully pixelated 2D world where Math and Sorcery are bonded closely together, your mission in this game is to defeat the mighty Count Mathula who has stolen the mighty book of Math and Sorcery and is threatening to invade your world!

Like any adventure RPG, you start out fighting small enemies by solving as many simple mathematical equations as possible within a given amount of time. As you progress through the game, you can collect items, upgrade your player, and unlock new companions to accompany you on your journey.

So long as you have a basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and are capable of solving simple equations in your head within 5 seconds, you shouldn’t have too much trouble playing Math and Sorcery. If not… Yeah… You’re DEAD… 💀

One thing you will learn very quickly is that maths is everything in this game. Your player’s power is linked directly to your mathematical abilities meaning if you struggle to complete a level, instead of blaming your player, maybe you should consider paying more attention in math class…

WIth beautifully pixelated 2D graphics, over 100 challenging levels for you to complete, and a kind of compelling storyline (we are actually interested in finding out more), this may just be the first dungeon adventure style RPG we have covered that will actually benefit you educationally.

The Conclusion

If you’ve always been good with numbers – or at least thought you were good with numbers – this is a game you will either really enjoy or regret ever downloading onto your iOS or Android device. Some truths are harder to bear than others…
